On May 24, 2023, a conference titled “The Effects of the Ukraine-Russia War on Marine Insurances” was held in Istanbul at the Turkish Chamber of Shipping Conference Hall, hosted by DEHUKAM. Prominent academics and maritime industry representatives attended the conference. The conference commenced with opening speeches by Mr. Tamer KIRAN, Chair of the Board of Turkish Chamber of Shipping, and Prof. Dr. İsmail DEMİR, DEHUKAM Board Member and Researcher.

The conference consisted of three sessions. In the first session, moderated by Prof. Dr. Yücel ACER, presentations were given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hacı KARA, Assistant Prof. Dr. Melisa KONFİDAN, and Mr. Burçak BAŞİPLİKÇİ.

The second session, moderated by Prof. Dr. İsmail DEMİR, presentations given by Prof. Dr. Nil KULA, Prof. Dr. Samim ÜNAN, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nur Jale ECE.

In the third session, moderated by Prof. Dr. Nil KULA, presentations were delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fevzi TOPSOY, Assistant Prof. Dr. Ayşegül BUĞRA ŞAR, and Research Assistant Hakan KOÇAK.
At the end of the conference DEHUKAM CEO Mustafa BAŞKARA, expressed gratitude to all the speakers and participants.
