International Symposium on the Current Developments in the Sea and Maritime Law

International Symposium on the Current Developments in the Sea and Maritime Law was held in Budva, Montenegro with broad participation.

“International Symposium on Current Developments in the Sea and Maritime Law” was held in Budva, Montenegro on 3-4 November 2022, within the scope of the 3rd Eurasian Law Meeting, by DEHUKAM with the support of the Turkish Law Platform and in cooperation with UMIP, MIMA, ANCORS, ICOG, IME and US Naval War College.

Within the scope of the Symposium Program, which started with the opening speeches of DEHUKAM’s Chair of the Board of Directors Prof. Hakan Karan, LLM, PhD, Secretary General of the Türkiye Law Platform Mr. Av Ahmet Akcan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry and Member of the Advisory Board of DEHUKAM Mr. Ebubekir Gizligider, and Deputy Minister of Justice Mr. Yakup Moğul; In the light of the presentations of 9 Turkish and 19 foreign speakers in six sessions, more than 250 ambassadors, judges, bureaucrats, practitioners, lawyers and academics from 42 different countries discussed current developments in international maritime law.

The symposium program was concluded with the closing speeches of DEHUKAM CEO Mr. Mustafa Başkara, LLM and other invited speakers.
