The 1st International Symposium on Maritime Law and Technologies Successfully Held

The 1st International Symposium on Maritime Law and Technologies was successfully convened in Düzce on 20–22 November, jointly organised by the Ankara University National Center for Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) and Düzce University, with the support of numerous institutions and organisations engaged in the fields of maritime law and marine technologies.

Within the scope of the symposium, presentation entitled “Assessments on the Additional Article 1 Concerning the Regulation of Pilotage and Towage Services under the Ports Law” was delivered by Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, Leading Researcher at DEHUKAM. Additionally, Dr. Mustafa Başkara, CEO of DEHUKAM, presented on “Marine Spatial Planning of the Republic of Türkiye.”

Throughout the event, participants exchanged academic perspectives on current developments in maritime law and marine technologies, and explored opportunities for collaboration among universities, public institutions, and industry representatives.
