The “Blue Economy Consortium Foundation Meeting” held in Strasbourg, aimed at strengthening cooperation between Türkiye and European countries in the fields of maritime policies and the sustainable Blue Economy has been successfully completed. Coordinated by the Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) and funded by the European Union, the consortium foundation meeting of the “Exploring the Blue Economy for Youth Workers” project concluded with a significant agreement.
At the conclusion of the intensive 5-day program, the CONSMAR Agreement, which formalizes long-term cooperation on sustainable maritime policies among the participating countries, was signed. Additionally, within the scope of the program, funding sources were examined to determine the “Consortium Roadmap” for the 2026-2027 period, and technical visits were conducted to the European Court of Human Rights, and the Council of Europe in line with the strategic objectives of the program.
