DEHUKAM CEO Dr. Mustafa Başkara participated in the symposium titled “The 100th Anniversary of the Gölcük Shipyard and Navy Symposium,” held in Gölcük from 4-6 June 2026, in collaboration between Gölcük Municipality and Piri Reis University, and presented a paper titled “Ottoman Sea and Maritime Law in the Light of Ahitnames”. The 22nd Commander of the Naval Forces and Member of the Board of Trustees of Piri Reis University, Admiral (Ret.) Metin Ataç, Gölcük Mayor Ali Yıldırım Sezer, and Prof. Dr. İdris Bostan, the symposium program—which covered Türkiye’s maritime history, the establishment of the Gölcük Shipyard, and maritime museums in Türkiye—was successfully concluded.
