The training activity titled CASS III – Understanding Climate Change and Its Impact on the Mediterranean Training, organised within the scope of our Erasmus+ KA220 project “Youth4CliMed / Climate Change Awareness in the Mediterranean from a Youth Perspective”, has been successfully completed.

Held in Ankara from 7 to 13 June and hosted by DEHUKAM, the training programme brought together young participants to explore climate change, its impacts on the Mediterranean region, and the role of youth in addressing environmental challenges.

The training process was carried out within the scope of the project coordinated by DEHUKAM, with the contributions of partners PAP/RAC (Croatia), FISPMED (Italy), Dokuz Eylül University (Türkiye), and Abat Oliba CEU University (Spain). Throughout the programme, participants engaged in training sessions focusing on climate change, sustainability, environmental protection, and youth participation.

As one of the key outcomes of the training, participants collaboratively developed and presented a Youth Declaration for a Climate-Resilient Mediterranean, reflecting their commitment to a more sustainable future for the region.

At the end of the programme, certificates were presented to the participants by the trainers and representatives of the partner institutions.

Throughout the programme, knowledge and experiences were shared among experts and participants, contributing to raising awareness of climate change and strengthening youth engagement in environmental action.
