A Cooperation Protocol in the fields of Maritime Law and Maritime History was signed on May 22, 2025, between Istanbul Piri Reis University and Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM). The signing ceremony was hosted by the Rector of Istanbul Piri Reis University, Prof. Dr. Nafiz Arıca, and attended by Vice Rector of Piri Reis University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ziya SÖĞÜT, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Bahar Ceyda SÜRAL EFEÇINAR, Head of the Department of International Public Law Dr. Lecturer Sevda KESKİN, DEHUKAM Board Member and Leading Researcher Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, DEHUKAM CEO Dr. Mustafa Başkara, and DEHUKAM Researcher Derya Ulutürk.

During the protocol signing ceremony, potential joint activities in the field of maritime law between the two institutions were discussed.
