Mustafa Başkara graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 2013 and subsequently completed his LL.M. in International Maritime Law at Queen Mary University of London in 2016. Mustafa Başkara worked as a research assistant at Social Sciences University of Ankara Faculty of Law between 2017 and 2021. In addition to his academic pursuits, he served as an advisor to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Türkiye from 2020 to 2022. In 2024, he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation titled “Ship Sale Contract in Turkish Law” at Ankara University Graduate School of Social Sciences, Private Law Department, earning the title of PhD. Since January 28, 2021, Mustafa Başkara has been serving as the CEO of the Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM). Additionally, as of 2023, Mustafa Başkara has been serving as the Director of the Climate Change Regional Activity Centre (CC/RAC) under the United Nations Environment Programme Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP) Barcelona Convention.
Adnan Menderes Aydın graduated from Gazi University in 2013. After completing his military service as a reserve officer, Aydın worked in the private sector for a while and was appointed to Kahramanmaraş as a teacher in 2016.
In 2020, he was appoited to Ankara and started his education in the integrated doctoral program in Educational Administration at Hacettepe University in the same year. His areas of study include topics such as educational administration, leadership, and teacher employment.
In 2023, he started to work as “Education Coordinator” at Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM). He was appointed as “Chief Operating Officer (COO)” as of September, 2024. Additionally, he continues to work as “Content Editor” at DEHUKAM Journal of the Sea and Maritime Law.
