The decisions taken at the 2025 Navigation, Hydrography and Oceanography Services Planning and Coordination Board Meeting have been signed and approved by H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The decisions has been published on the Department of Navigation, Hydrography and Oceanography Services Website.

Within the framework of the decisions, it was decided that in 2027 the International Marine Sciences Conference will be organized under the auspices of DEHUKAM, and that the 2027 Board Meeting will also be hosted by DEHUKAM in Ankara.

Furthermore, the Board adopted a recommendation decision to encourage public institutions, organizations, and universities to seek legal opinions and information from DEHUKAM on matters related to the protection of Türkiye’s rights and interests at sea. Another recommendation decision emphasized the importance of enhancing scientific research activities on Türkiye’s Marine Spatial Planning in line with national interests and in consultatiom with DEHUKAM.
