A meeting was held on 13 January 2026 between the Directorate General for the Northeastern Mediterranean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM). The meeting was attended by Ambassador Mr. Burak Özügergin, Director General for the Northeastern Mediterranean from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Director General Mr. Ferit Orçun Başaran, and Head of Department Mr. Orkun Ersoy and Ms. Funda Çelen Erkek, Mr. Süleyman Önel, Chair of the Board of Directors of DEHUKAM, Prof. Dr. Yücel Acer, Leading Researcher, Dr. Mustafa Başkara, CEO, and Researchers Ms. Büşra Deniz and Mrs. Zeynep Mirvan Korunç.

During the meeting, the activities carried out in 2025 were reviewed, and views were exchanged on the planned activities for 2026 as well as potential areas of cooperation.
