Dr. Mustafa Başkara, CEO of DEHUKAM, participated in the “Blue Homeland Academy” panel organized on 8 May 2026 under the hosting of the Eastern Black Sea Municipalities Union and Karadeniz Technical University.

During the session titled “The Turkish Maritime Spatial Planning Map and the Blue Homeland from the Perspective of International Maritime Law,” Dr. Mustafa Başkara delivered a presentation on Türkiye’s maritime zones in the surrounding seas. In his presentation, he addressed Türkiye’s approach towards maritime jurisdiction areas, the strategic importance of maritime spatial planning, and the place of the Blue Homeland concept within the framework of international law of the sea.
