On 15 May 2026, DEHUKAM CEO Dr. Mustafa Başkara and Senior Researcher Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali İbrahim Akkutay delivered a lecture on the Montreux Convention Regarding the Regime of the Straits within the scope of the “Naval Warfare Academy” programme organized in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, in cooperation with the Center of Excellence Operations in Confined and Shallow Waters, NATO Maritime Geometoc Centre of Excellence, The Fozzie Miller Group, European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) BlueRights, University of Basel, and the U.S. Naval War College.
