The Regional Meeting on Climate Change Adaptation was held in Istanbul on 8-9 July 2025 with the support of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and the Climate Change Regional Activity Centre (CC/RAC), organized by the United Nations Environment Programme/Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP) Secretariat. Following the opening remarks by Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change H.E. Fatma Varank, the Regional Climate Change Adaptation Framework 2026-2035 (RCCAF) document, which will be presented to the contracting parties at the MAP Focal Points Meeting to be held in September and the 24th Conference of the Parties (COP24) to be held (COP24) in December.

The meeting, which was also attended by CC/RAC Director Dr. Mustafa Başkara, contributed to promoting regional cooperation on climate change adaptation in the Mediterranean.
