DEHUKAM has been awarded a grant under the Erasmus+ KA220-YOU “Youth for a Plastic-Free Future: Raising Awareness on Marine Litter” Project provided by the National Agency

Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) has been awarded a grant for the project “Youth for a Plastic-Free Future: Raising Awareness on Marine Litter” under the Erasmus+ KA220-YOU Youth Cooperation Partnerships call provided by the National Agency.

The project, which will be carried out within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA220-YOU call funded by the National Agency, aims to raise awareness among young people about marine litter and plastic pollution and encourage them to take an active role. Within the scope of the project, young people will receive training on marine ecosystems, waste reduction strategies, policy processes, and innovative solutions, carry out awareness campaigns, and have the opportunity to participate in decision-making processes. Thus, both environmental responsibility awareness will be developed, and a contribution will be made to sustainable marine management.

DEHUKAM will carry out joint activities with Federazione Internazionale per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile e la Lotta alla Povertà nel Mediterraneo Mar Nero (Italy), Fundació Privada Universitat Abat Oliba CEU (Spain), and Javna Ustanova Univerzitet Crne Gore Podgorica (Montenegro) during the 24-month project.
