The “International Symposium on Various Dimensions of Law of the Sea Decisions,” jointly organized by Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) and Piri Reis University, was held on 2 October 2025, hosted by Piri Reis University.

The opening remarks were delivered by Prof. Dr. H. Funda Yercan (Vice Rector, Piri Reis University), Prof. Dr. Yücel Acer (Board Member and Leading Researcher, DEHUKAM), Prof. Dr. Ceyda Süral Efeçınar (Dean, Faculty of Law, Piri Reis University) and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sevda Keskin (Faculty of Law, Piri Reis University).

Throughout the event, in three sessions, prominent speakers including ITLOS Judge Prof. Dr. Maurice Kamga, Ambassador of the Philippines to Ankara Henry Bensurto Jr., and Prof. Dr. Ademuni-Odeke, Special Advisor and Leading Researcher of DEHUKAM, among others, addressed current issues of the law of the sea and engaged in fruitful discussions on the various dimensions of law of the sea.
