DEHUKAM CEO Dr. Mustafa Başkara delivered a speech titled “The Historical Development of Maritime Law in Türkiye and the Role of DEHUKAM” at the Maritime and Polar Law Summit organized by the Democracy and Law Club of Istanbul University Faculty of Law on October 31, 2025.

In his speech, Dr. Başkara addressed the development of sea and maritime law in Türkiye from a historical perspective and emphasized the importance of DEHUKAM in national and international maritime law studies. He also provided information on DEHUKAM’s research activities in areas such as the protection of the marine environment, maritime jurisdiction areas, and polar law.
