DEHUKAM Research Trip

During their visit to Jamaica, within the scope of the “DEHUKAM Turkey’s Sovereign Authority for Energy Resources in the World’s Seas,” Project carried out by DEHUKAM with the support of TÜBİTAK, DEHUKAM Chair of the Board of Directors Prof. Dr. Hakan Karan, and DEHUKAM’s researchers Berilşah Kocabıyık and Seyhan Gül Yılmaz had a meeting with International Seabed Authority Secretary-General Michael W. Lodge about the states that are not a party to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the rights of the states on the resources in the Field within the scope of the common heritage of humanity, Turkey’s observer state status and the authority of the Authority. In addition, Seyhan Gül Yılmaz and Berilşah Kocabıyık presented their Master’s theses, which they wrote within the scope of the relevant Project, to Mr. Michael W. Lodge. We want to thank Mr. Michael W. Lodge and his team for their acceptance of the DEHUKAM delegation and their enlightening ideas for the Project.
