The 42nd Extraordinary Meeting of the Black Sea Commission for the Protection of the Black Sea against Pollution (Bucharest Convention) was held online on July 28, 2023, upon the request of Ukraine. The Turkish delegation, represented by Ferudun Tekbıyık, Deputy General Director of Environmental Management at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, Mehmet Tamer Çobanoğlu, Expert at the Department of Marine and Coastal Management, along with Mustafa Başkara, DEHUKAM CEO, and DEHUKAM researchers Büşra Deniz and Derya Ulutürk from our Center, participated in the meeting. During the meeting, Türkiye emphasized its sensitivity towards the marine environment and the necessity for all countries to collaborate and act together.
