The International Panel on Maritime Decarbonization will be Held on March 15, 2024

This distinguished gathering, organized in collaboration with Ankara University Asia-Pacific Application and Research Center (APAM) and DEHUKAM, in partnership with the Japanese Embassy, marks the centennial anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Türkiye and Japan. The event is set to transpire at 10:30 am on Friday, the 15th of March, at the Mahmut Esat Bozkurt Hall, Ankara University Faculty of Law.

The inaugural address will be presented by His Excellency Takahiko Katsumata, the Ambassador of Japan to Ankara. The panel’s proceedings will feature a discourse by Mr. Masanori Kobayasahi on “Decarbonizing the Maritime Sector and the Applicability of Renewable Energy.” Furthermore, Associate Professor Dr. Levent Bilgili is slated to deliver a presentation entitled “IMO’s Decarbonization Struggle from Past to Present in a Life Cycle Perspective.”
