On 15 April 2024, Director of the Climate Change Regional Activity Centre (CC/RAC) Mustafa Başkara participated in the Executive Coordinating Panel (ECP) with the participation of all regional activity centre directors in the Barcelona Convention system and the Barcelona Convention Secretariat. CC/RAC Director also participated in the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Mediterranean Commission on Sustainable Development (MCSD) on April 18, 2024 and contributed to the discussions on the preparation of the Mediterranean Strategy on Sustainable Development (MSSD) document for the next decade. As part of the visit, CC/RAC Director Mustafa Başkara met with Director of the Ecosystem Division of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Susan Gardner and paid a visit to United Nations Environment Programme Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP) Coordinator Tatjana Hema.
