DEHUKAM CEO Mustafa Başkara was appointed as the Director of the Climate Change Regional Activity Centre which was decided to be hosted by Türkiye at the 23rd Conference of the Parties of the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment and the Coastal Region of the Mediterranean (Barcelona Convention). Following the Decision of the Board of Directors of DEHUKAM, the appointment was notified in writing to the United Nations Environment Programme Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP) Secretariat by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of the Republic of Türkiye. CC/RAC Director Mustafa Başkara visited Athens, Greece, where the UNEP MAP Secretariat is located, on 14-18 April 2024 to attend a series of meetings.
