DEHUKAM 2025 Summer Term Internship Program Has Been Completed

Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) successfully completed its 2025 Summer Internship Program. During the internship period, our interns conducted comprehensive research on various topics related to the sea and maritime law and produced valuable work. We congratulate all our interns who successfully completed their internships and thank them for their contributions to our institution.
Our interns, their responsible researchers, and research topics are as follows:

Responsible researcher Büşra Deniz and intern Beste Özenalp: “Piracy and Armed Robbery at Sea” and “Thailand Country Profile”; intern Furkan Efe Aksuyek: “Effect of Islands on the in Maritime Delimitation: Megisti Island” and “Cuba Country Profile”

Responsible researcher Çağrı Ünal and intern Mustafa Oğuzhan Kutluca are working on “Maritime Trade Contracts” and “South Korea and North Korea Country Profiles”; Intern Gizem Artar on “Freight Exchanges and Freight Contracts: Their Legal Regulation under the Turkish Commercial Code within the Broader Scope of International Maritime Law”

Responsible researcher Emre Önsöz and intern Asoude Patsaman on “A Lingering Menace to Global Trade: Maritime Piracy” and “Panama Country Profile”; intern Emre Turunç on “Israeli Interventions in Maritime Areas and the Impact of the Israel-Gaza War on Maritime Security” and “Israel Country Profile”;

Responsible researcher Zeynep Mirvan Korunç and intern Sudenur Yayla on “Legal Obligations of States in Search and Rescue (SAR) Areas” and “New Zealand Country Profile.”, intern Sayyad İbrahimli on “Resolving Overlapping Exclusive Economic Zone Claims for Offshore Energy Development” and “Libya Country Profile”,
