A cooperation protocol in the field of sea and maritime law was signed between the Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law(DEHUKAM) and the Justice Academy of Türkiye Law Research Center on 13 March 2026. The signing ceremony, hosted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Kadir Yılmaztekin, Director of the Legal Research Center of the Justice Academy of Türkiye, was attended by Süleyman Önel, Chair of the Board of Directors of DEHUKAM; Dr. Mustafa Başkara, CEO of DEHUKAM; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali İbrahim Akkutay, Senior Researcher of DEHUKAM; and DEHUKAM Researchers Çağrı Ünal, Emre Önsöz, and Zeynep Mirvan Korunç. During the ceremony, potential areas of cooperation and activities in the field of sea maritime law that could be carried out jointly by the two institutions were discussed.
