The “Colloquium on Integrated Ocean Management and Marine Spatial Planning” will be held by DEHUKAM on 13 April 2026, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM at the Ankara University Faculty of Law, Hall of Honor. This event is organized within the scope of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) 2223-B Program for Supporting the Organization of Domestic Scientific Events.
The colloquium will address the concept of Integrated Ocean Management (IOM)—a continuous process of decision-making for the sustainable use, development, and protection of marine and ocean areas and resources—as well as its sub-component, Marine Spatial Planning (MSP). This event aims to establish a platform for discussion and knowledge sharing that encourages the management of marine areas within a temporal and spatial framework through an ecosystem-based, science-driven, multi-stakeholder, and sustainable approach.
