DEHUKAM Participated in the 1st National Maritime Law Summit in Antalya

Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) COO Dr. Adnan Menderes Aydın and DEHUKAM Researcher Büşra Deniz participated in the “1st National Maritime Law Summit in Antalya,” held on 25–26 April 2026 in Antalya and hosted by Akdeniz University.

Hosted by the Faculty of Law of Akdeniz University and organized by the Antalya Young Jurists Association, the Summit addressed legal developments in the fields of maritime tourism
sectoral challenges and proposed solutions were evaluated by distinguished experts. In addition, current developments in sea and maritime law, as well as practical and policy-related issues concerning the maritime sector, were comprehensively discussed.

Speaking at the panel titled “Maritime Law Practices in the Field,” held within the scope of the Summit, DEHUKAM COO Dr. Adnan Menderes Aydın provided information on DEHUKAM’s activities and its work in the fields of sea and maritime law and policies in Türkiye. DEHUKAM Researcher Büşra Deniz, in her presentation titled “Türkiye Marine Spatial Planning,” informed the participants about the scope, preparatory process, and significance of Türkiye’s marine spatial planning efforts.
