Board Members of the Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM), Rear Admiral İsmail Güldoğan and Prof. Dr. Hasan Ayrancı, together with DEHUKAM Researcher Emre Önsöz, attended the 5th Black Sea Maritime Forum held in Istanbul on 27–29 April 2026 under the auspices of the Turkish Naval Forces. During the sessions held within the scope of the Forum, evaluations were made on regional maritime policies, recent developments in maritime security, and the multi-dimensional nature of naval operations.
Throughout the Forum, the DEHUKAM delegation engaged with national and international stakeholders, exchanged information on current activities related to maritime affairs in the Black Sea, and held discussions on enhancing cooperation opportunities in the region. In this context, potential areas for joint work were addressed, particularly focusing on strengthening the legal framework of maritime activities at the regional level and enhancing maritime security.
The participation is expected to contribute not only to increasing DEHUKAM’s institutional visibility in the field of maritime security but also to supporting Türkiye’s maritime and maritime law policies in the Black Sea.
