Within the scope of the second training of the “Project for the Technical Assistance for Improving marine monitoring and reporting practices in compliance to Marine Strategy Framework Directive,” in which DEHUKAM is a partner, held in Ankara between 4-8 May 2026, DEHUKAM CEO Dr. Mustafa Başkara delivered a lecture titled “Amendments Required in Turkish Legislation to Comply with MSFD”. During the lecture, the current status of Turkish legislation was analyzed in light of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive—one of the European Union’s key regulations regarding the marine environment—and the steps necessary to achieve compliance were outlined.
