DEHUKAM Chair of the Board of Directors Mr. Süleyman Önel, DEHUKAM CEO Dr. Mustafa Başkara, and DEHUKAM Senior Researcher Dr. Alperen Furkan Taş, Researchers Çağrı Ünal and Mehmet İlkuçan participated in the 5th Türkiye Maritime Summit, which brought together representatives from the public sector, private sector, academia, and civil society involved in the maritime industry.
Hosted by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate for Maritime Affairs, and Turkish Chamber of Shipping, the summit addressed a wide range of issues that will shape the future of Türkiye’s maritime sector, including recent developments in maritime affairs, sustainable maritime policies, ports, maritime trade, the shipbuilding industry, maritime security, and the blue economy.
Throughout the summit, the DEHUKAM delegation attended various panels and sessions, providing an opportunity to assess recent developments in the field of maritime law. The delegation also held meetings with representatives of public institutions, industry stakeholders, and academics to exchange views on potential areas of cooperation.
