The session entitled “DEHUKAM Special Session: Legal Framework for Offshore Wind Energy in Türkiye” was held as part of the Offshore Wind Türkiye 2026 event, which took place at Piri Reis University on 13–14 October 2026.

Prof. Dr. Yücel Acer, Member of the DEHUKAM Board of Directors and Leading Researcher, moderated the session, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali İbrahim Akkutay, Senior Researcher at DEHUKAM, and Emre Önsöz, Researcher at DEHUKAM, participated as speakers.

The session addressed the legal framework governing offshore wind energy activities in Türkiye, with assessments focusing on the relevant rules of international law and national legislation.

Drawing on its academic expertise and experience in maritime law, DEHUKAM continues to contribute to research on the legal aspects of offshore wind energy activities in Türkiye.
