The Cooperation Protocol between DEHUKAM and TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center Presidency covering the subjects of “Law of the Sea, Climate Change and Polar Research” was signed by DEHUKAM CEO Mustafa Başkara and TÜBİTAK MAM President Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy at a ceremony held at the TÜBİTAK MAM Presidency on August 14, 2023.
With this Cooperation Protocol, it is aimed to diversify the activities currently carried out between TÜBİTAK MAM and DEHUKAM within the scope of projects and to increase the capacity of trained manpower in these fields.
Before the ceremony, in the cocktail program given in honor of the DEHUKAM delegation, Parties discussed about prioritise of cooperation activities and the activities that can be carried out with the aim of protecting Türkiye’s interests on the polar waters. Following the ceremony, DEHUKAM CEO Mustafa Başkara, presented a gift to Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy, who was recently appointed as the President of TÜBİTAK MAM, in memory of the day.
We hope that the duty of Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy as the President of TÜBİTAK MAM will contribute to furthering the relationship between the two Institutions and cooperation protocol will serve to protect the rights and interests of Türkiye on the Law of the Sea, Climate Change and Polar Studies.
