DEHUKAM’s Panama Visit

DEHUKAM Chair of the Board of Directors Prof. Hakan Karan, DEHUKAM researchers Seyhan Gül Yılmaz and Berilşah Kocabıyık visited the Panamanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs during their visit to Panama within the scope of the Cooperation Protocol signed between the International Maritime University of Panama (UMIP) and DEHUKAM for the Development of Educational and Research Activities on the Sea and Maritime Law. Within the scope of their visit, they met with the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry and informed about the activities carried out by DEHUKAM. In addition, evaluations were made about possible future joint studies. We thank the Panamanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for hosting the DEHUKAM delegation.

DEHUKAM’s Costa Rica Visit

DEHUKAM Chair of the Board of Directors Prof. Hakan Karan, DEHUKAM researchers Seyhan Gül Yılmaz and Berilşah Kocabıyık, have visited Costa Rica within the scope of the Cooperation Protocol regarding the Law of the Sea at & for Peace signed between the UN University for Peace (UPEACE) in Costa Rica and DEHUKAM. During their visit, the DEHUKAM delegation held a meeting with the Rector of UPEACE, Prof. Francisco Rojas Aravena and Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Juan Carlos Sainz Borgo. Within the scope of the meeting, ideas were exchanged on the works aimed to be executed within the framework of the existing Cooperation Protocol. In addition, other projects carried out by DEHUKAM, especially “DEHUKAM Project on Turkey’s Sovereign Rights of Marine Energy Resources in the World Seas” TUBITAK Project, were mentioned and briefed. In this context, evaluations were made within the framework of projects and training activities. We thank to UN University for Peace for hosting the DEHUKAM delegation.
