A Cooperation Protocol has signed between IMLI and DEHUKAM on 28 March 2018. Within the scope of the protocol, lectures were given at DEHUKAM by IMLI lecturers, and in the same way, lectures were given by DEHUKAM researchers at IMLI. In addition, institutions have supported each other in terms of education and research activities. In this context, the Symposium on “Legal Regime of Ports” will be held in the near future with the cooperation of IMLI-DEHUKAM and the sponsorship of Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Mersin International Port.

On February 27, 2023, IMLI and DEHUKAM signed a new cooperation protocol in order to continue this beautiful cooperation between them. Emphasizing the importance of cooperation with IMLI at the signing ceremony, DEHUKAM Director Mustafa Başkara emphasized that with this Protocol, the foundations of new working areas were laid between IMLI and DEHUKAM. IMLI Director Prof. Dr. Norman Martinez, on the other hand, emphasized the importance of their current work with DEHUKAM for the maritime law community. At the ceremony, DEHUKAM Special Advisor Prof. Dr. Ademuni-Odeke, on the other hand, emphasized the importance of cooperation between IMLI and DEHUKAM in his speech in which he summarized the progress of DEHUKAM since its establishment. DEHUKAM Board Member and Chief Researcher Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir thanked IMLI Director and all participants.

Through this additional protocol, it is aimed to further develop and continue the ongoing cooperation between IMLI and DEHUKAM.
