Prof. Dr. İsmail DEMİR, Board Member of DEHUKAM and Leading Researcher, Mustafa BAŞKARA, DEHUKAM CEO and Halil İbrahim AKCAN, DEHUKAM Researcher attended to the 2023 Ordinary Meeting of the Navigation, Hydrography and Oceanography Services Plan Coordination Board hosted by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey Marmara Research Center (TÜBİTAK MAM) on 16-17 May 2023.
Prof. Dr. İsmail DEMİR and Mr. Mustafa BAŞKARA made a presentation on the International Legally Binding Instrument under UNCLOS for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ Convention).
At the meeting where Türkiye’s National Maritime Research Strategy (TUDAS) was revised, a recommendation decision was taken that all institutions, organizations and universities should receive legal advise and information from Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) in their studies on issues related to the protection of our maritime sovereignty and sovereign rights.
