On December 20, 2023, the conference on “The Question of the Malvinas Islands” (Falkland Islands) took place at the Mahmut Esat Bozkurt Hall of the Ankara University Faculty of Law, organised by the Embassy of Argentina in Ankara and hosted by DEHUKAM. During the conference, presentations were given by Florencia Grimalt, Head of the Consulate and Culture Unit at the Embassy of Argentina in Ankara, and Prof. Dr. Facundo Rodriguez, an International Law expert.

The event was attended by Ambassador Beatriz Salas of Argentina, as well as Ambassador Gustavo Campos-Fallas of Costa Rica, Ambassador Lourdes Puma Puma of Ecuador, Ambassador Hector Jaime of El Salvador, Ambassador Jairo D. Estrada of Guatemala, and counsellors from the embassies of Peru, Panama, and Uruguay in Ankara. Many students from the Ankara University Faculty of Law also attended as listeners.

Prior to the Conference, the Dean of the Ankara University Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Muharrem Özen, along with Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, Board Member of DEHUKAM, and Mustafa Başkara, DEHUKAM CEO met with the ambassadors. During the meeting, potential collaboration opportunities between DEHUKAM and the countries of Latin America were discussed.
